Car Speaker – 16,5cm 2 Way 120 Watt (CDS16)

The Caliber CDS16 is a 3-way car speaker set of 2 speakers of 6.5 inches (16 centimeters). These 2 speakers each have a 6.5 inch (16.5 centimeter) woofer 30 millimeter Mylar Dome tweeter and a 20 millimeter Piezo tweeter.

3-way system

The Mylar Dome and the Piezo tweeter are both dome tweeters. That means they are solidly built and therefore resistant to the movements of driving a car. The 3-way system provides separate bass from the woofer and treble from the tweeters. So you enjoy a balanced sound where high and low are well mixed and you hear the details of your favorite music while driving. For extra bass, for example, add an extra Caliber subwoofer.

Power

The CDS16 speakers can handle a power of 50 Watt RMS, with a peak of 120 Watt. With an amplifier up to 120 watts in your car you're good with that. To play music for hours, an amplifier of up to 50 watts is recommended. The 89 db sensitivity of the speakers is approximately equal to the sound of an electric lawnmower. So enjoy your music on the road at an audible volume.

Build in

The CDS16 speaker set is easy to assemble due to the built-in depth of 59 millimetres. The built-in diameter of the speakers is 14.5 centimetres, so they fit in most standard openings in your car door. An installation manual is included as standard, so you can get started in no time.
